Eduardo Matos's late challenge caught a Menexas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Menexas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Menexas FC's Joel Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Matos in the 63rd minute of play. Emanuel Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Santarém received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rafael Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Menexas FC played a much better game than SC Carromeu and deserved their victory. The SC Carromeu players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
