Though ot was a great shot Guardizela FC's keeper Gastão Ferrão was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Vítor Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Sidónio Mourinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Sidónio Mourinho made a precise shot to the right of Vítor Nascimento. Palvarinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Fábio Valente might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gastão Ferrão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fábio Valente ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Valente in the 42nd minute of play forced Guardizela FC's goalkeeper Gastão Ferrão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fábio Valentes short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Gastão Ferrão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Catarino Valente was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Vítor Nascimento managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Guardizela FC's António Curado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Palvarinho getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. José Leão hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidónio Mourinho in the 53rd minute of play forced Palvarinho's goalkeeper Vítor Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palvarinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guardizela FC the free kick. In the 75th match minute, Palvarinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Faro to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the match, Guardizela FC's Sidónio Mourinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vítor Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Palvarinho's Vítor Nascimento got control of the ball when António Curado tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Guardizela FC's Sidónio Mourinho in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
