Eduardo Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Simão Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Gueifão scored 0-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldo Alcântara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute, Tondela's Raul Gueifão ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Osvaldo Alcântara. Osvaldo Alcântara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The supporters of Tondela booed when Racing Vilameanense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Racing Vilameanense's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Henriques came free, but Osvaldo Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tondela's goalkeeper Simão Domingues, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 95 played minutes Racing Vilameanense got a freekick which was hit by Luís Ferraz. The Racing Vilameanense supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tondela's performance. The match ended with a win for Tondela.
