Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jacinto Esteves made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Seixosas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Idalécio Aleixo came free, but Afonso Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Correia hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Seixosas FC's zone, Kevin Peralta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Gaspar came out of the goal and Kevin Peralta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the game, Jacinto Esteves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seixosas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Mariz the free kick. After 8 played minutes Seixosas FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Esteves. If Alexandre Carreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Idalécio Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Mariz's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jacinto Esteves 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Jacinto Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seixosas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Alex Gomes came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Seixosas FC's Jacinto Esteves. But to his dismay, Jacinto Esteves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Alexandre Carreira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 66th minute, Idalécio Aleixo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Tomás Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If André Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Alex Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Seixosas FC's goalkeeper Afonso Gaspar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Carreira. Idalécio Aleixo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. André Figueiredo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Gomes having to make a save. André Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Gomes having to interfere. Jacinto Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Gomes having to interfere. When Seixosas FC's Jacinto Esteves in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Mariz's goalie prevented a goal. SC Mariz's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
