In the 15th minute of the match, Nicolau Zarco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Afonso Gaspar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Esteves in the 20th minute of play forced Cardia's goalkeeper Cesário Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cardia's Alberto Mota got a free kick in the 21st minute. André Figueiredo might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesário Neiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesário Neiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Seixosas FC booed when Cardia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Jacinto Esteves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 40 played minutes Cardia got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Colaço. In the 43rd minute, Armando Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Gaspar made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Nicolau Zarco sent off a good shot on target. The Cardia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Seixosas FC were winning 0-1.

Seixosas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alcino Aires was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The Seixosas FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cardia from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
