In a very dangerous position, a player in Sperare Futebol Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! Leandro Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sperare Futebol Clube's Leandro Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Bessa in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Ricardo Bessa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Ludo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Bessa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Bessa might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Vaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Bessa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 26th minute, Ricardo Bessa made a precise shot to the right of Leandro Vaz. Sperare Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, SC Ludo's Luís Lisboa got a free kick in the 37th minute. Luís Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Sperare Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Ludo were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardo Bessa to strike the kick off in the second half. Vítor Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Murilo Lisboa went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 54th match minute, Sperare Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romão Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. If Murilo Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Aprígio Lucena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Ludo's Domingos Assunção got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Murilo Lisboa notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of SC Ludo's Vítor Figueiredo. Vítor Figueiredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sandro Brito struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Leandro Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Ludo. When Carlos Guerreiro came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the SC Ludo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Guerreiro couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Sperare Futebol Clube's zone, Sandro Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Vaz came out of the goal and Sandro Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandro Brito got free with Leandro Vaz in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ricardo Bessa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Ludo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Bessa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
