After 3 minutes, Caio Lameiras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fontao FC and the Caminho players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fontao FC's Caio Lameiras got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Sandro Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caio Lameiras in the 6th minute of play. Caio Lameiras hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Joaquim Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Sabino Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Fontao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flávio Cavaco to maneuver through the defense. Catarino Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabino Moutinho having to interfere. In the 19th minute, António Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caminho's Luís Aguiar couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fontao FC. If Ramiro Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 24th minute Joaquim Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabino Moutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bento Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raul Moreira's late challenge caught a Caminho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raul Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Fontao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Raul Moreira was shown his second yellow card after 28 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Caminho booed when Fontao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Sabino Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Catarino Figueiredo during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sabino Moutinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Pinho in the 57th minute of play forced Fontao FC's goalkeeper Sabino Moutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
