When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Alexandre Miranda took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Valentim Bernardes to make any attempt to save it. Valentim Bernardes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Álvaro Almeida went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute, SC Infesta's Manuel Barbosa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Manuel Barbosa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC Infesta protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Manuel Barbosa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Infesta fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesualdo Aires in the 35th minute of play forced Ribeiradio FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute of the match, Alexandre Miranda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Valentim Bernardes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

After having played for 58 minutes, Alexandre Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ribeiradio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valentim Bernardes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Miranda in the 60th minute of play. Álvaro Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentim Bernardes having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Alexandre Miranda made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Infesta's Valentim Bernardes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Álvaro Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Infesta's goalkeeper Valentim Bernardes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexandre Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Valentim Bernardes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, SC Infesta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademar Jesus to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Alexandre Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ribeiradio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentim Bernardes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ribeiradio FC fully deserved thier win.
