FC AGUIAS SELVAGENS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Fontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Nazerete booed when FC AGUIAS SELVAGENS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Gaspar took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brian Kihlman. Brian Kihlman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Francisco Tavares struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Óscar Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC AGUIAS SELVAGENS. Rui Gueifão scored 1-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Óscar Ramos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC AGUIAS SELVAGENS's goalkeeper Brian Kihlman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to FC AGUIAS SELVAGENS getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Pedro Alves hit a great ball. Óscar Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Finn Engvik in the 24th minute of the match. Brian Kihlman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Borges in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to FC AGUIAS SELVAGENS getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Francisco Tavares hit a great ball. With a little luck, FC AGUIAS SELVAGENS's Brian Kihlman got control of the ball when Rui Gaspar tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Inácio Fontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Óscar Ramos was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Óscar Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Finn Engvik in the 39th minute of play. If Inácio Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio Amaro was the one to do the kick off. Gonçalo Resende kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The FC AGUIAS SELVAGENS fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when FC AGUIAS SELVAGENS's Inácio Fontes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Rui Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Nazerete fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Gaspar couldn't finish the play. If Rui Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Finn Engvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FC AGUIAS SELVAGENS's Inácio Fontes got a free kick in the 70th minute. Brian Kihlman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Amaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Tavares got free with Óscar Ramos in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rui Gueifão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Óscar Ramos made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Nazerete's zone, Rui Gueifão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Ramos came out of the goal and Rui Gueifão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Nazerete fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC AGUIAS SELVAGENS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
