When Mariano Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zebro FC's protests and gave Mariano Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Zebro FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Mariano Ramos hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Adolfo Torres made a precise shot to the right of Silvano Barros. Αποελ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldaír Roriz in the 28th minute of play forced Zebro FC's goalkeeper Fernando Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aldaír Roriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonardo Bulhosa was the one to do the kick off. Fernando Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Aldaír Roriz sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Aldaír Roriz took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Fernando Fonseca to make any attempt to save it. Adolfo Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Silvano Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Adolfo Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zebro FC's Fernando Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Zebro FC from getting a goal against them. Aldaír Roriz might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aldaír Roriz ran back to his position shaking his head. If Adolfo Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgar Vieira hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Fernando Fonseca was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Leonardo Bulhosa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leonardo Bulhosa really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. After 88 played minutes Αποελ got a freekick which was hit by João Santiago. Adolfo Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
