After 7 minutes, Porfírio Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Cuspe and the Dragao FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Cuspe getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Porfírio Sá hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Dragao FC's Alexandre Macena got a free kick in the 10th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Porfírio Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Cuspe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Porfírio Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Diegues got free with Sálvio Álvares in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Gustavo Diegues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Diegues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sálvio Álvares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estevão Padilha in the 19th minute of play forced FC Cuspe's goalkeeper Sálvio Álvares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norberto Leão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sálvio Álvares. FC Cuspe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gustavo Diegues succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 36th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estevão Padilha in the 45th minute of play forced FC Cuspe's goalkeeper Sálvio Álvares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Estevão Padilha made the kick off in the second half. Porfírio Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Filipe Vidigal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58thth minute of the game Isidro Severo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragao FC's Filipe Vidigal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Porfírio Sá's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filipe Vidigal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Filipe Vidigal made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Porfírio Sá sent off a good shot on target. After 72 played minutes Dragao FC got a freekick which was hit by Adélio Prada. After 77 played minutes Dragao FC got a freekick which was hit by Adérito Ramires. Alexandre Macena's late challenge caught a FC Cuspe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Macena helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Dragao FC's Alexandre Macena got a free kick in the 81st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidro Severo in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filipe Vidigal saved Dragao FC from getting behind. After having played for 86 minutes, Isidro Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Cuspe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidro Severo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of FC Cuspe booed when Dragao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Diegues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
