Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Durval Veloso got the match started through his kick off. In the 8thth minute of the game Durval Veloso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Riodades's Carlos Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fábio Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fábio Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. SC Pinheiros's Palmiro Rangel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Miranda in the 12th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Monteiro in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Palmiro Rangel saved SC Pinheiros from getting behind. Palmiro Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Miranda in the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, SC Pinheiros's Romão Valentim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Queirós made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in SC Pinheiros's zone, Luís Monteiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Palmiro Rangel came out of the goal and Luís Monteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durval Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Carlos Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Palmiro Rangel having to interfere. Carlos Miranda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Palmiro Rangel having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romão Valentim got free with Carlos Queirós in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Queirós made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Romão Valentim sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Monteiro to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Riodades got a corner. SC Pinheiros's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Mendes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Riodades's Daniel Reis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Palmiro Rangel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Carlos Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durval Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Macedo's late challenge caught a SC Pinheiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Macedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Riodades was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Macedo to maneuver through the defense. After 60 played minutes, SC Pinheiros's Alexandrino Severiano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Queirós came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Pinheiros reached it. Palmiro Rangel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Riodades's goal looked a bit too open when Durval Veloso came free, but Carlos Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Palmiro Rangel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Pinheiros's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Luís Monteiro scored to the left of an out of position Palmiro Rangel, making the score, 1-1. Carlos Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Veloso in the 80th minute of play. Palmiro Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Monteiro in the 82nd minute of the match. When Rui Rego fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Pinheiros's protests and gave Rui Rego a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd match minute, SC Pinheiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Rego to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Palmiro Rangel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Pinheiros's Rui Rego got a free kick in the 86th minute. With a little luck, SC Pinheiros's Palmiro Rangel got control of the ball when Carlos Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. The SC Pinheiros supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Riodades's performance. The match ended with a win for Riodades.
