After 4 minutes, Aquilino Nóbrega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Cuspe and the Riodades players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes FC Cuspe got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Severo. Isidro Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Queirós having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Cuspe's Luís Liberato got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 17 played minutes FC Cuspe got a freekick which was hit by Luís Liberato. In the 18th minute, João Mendes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Cuspe's Sálvio Álvares didn't even have to move. After 28 minutes of play, Riodades's Luís Monteiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sálvio Álvares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32nd minute, Carlos Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Quadros charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Quadros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of FC Cuspe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Riodades:s goal. After 37 minutes of play FC Cuspe's Aquilino Nóbrega was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, FC Cuspe's Aquilino Nóbrega got a free kick in the 38th minute. When Carlos Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Riodades fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Miranda couldn't finish the play. Luís Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in FC Cuspe's zone, Carlos Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sálvio Álvares came out of the goal and Carlos Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Riodades were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute, Carlos Miranda fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sálvio Álvares, passed just outside the right post. Riodades's Luís Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Porfírio Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Carlos Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Cuspe's Sálvio Álvares got control of the ball when Carlos Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 73 minutes, Carlos Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riodades's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Liberato hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Sálvio Álvares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Luís Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riodades's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Riodades's goal looked a bit too open when Porfírio Sá came free, but Carlos Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Riodades getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Rui Miranda hit a great ball. Carlos Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Quadros in the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Riodades's Carlos Miranda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sálvio Álvares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Porfírio Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Carlos Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Riodades's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
