Gonçalo Aleixo ran back to his position shaking his head. Silvestre Figueiras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Aleixo in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Gonçalo Aleixo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Silvestre Figueiras. The goal made the score 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, SC Almoinhos's Idalécio Mansilha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lúcio Freitas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Abel Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvestre Figueiras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Simão Pimentel hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. When Abel Jesus came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the SC Brasil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Jesus couldn't finish the play. João Sanches blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lúcio Freitas having to make a save. Gonçalo Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Silvestre Figueiras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Jesus struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Silvestre Figueiras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Brasil. Gonçalo Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Figueiras having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Abel Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Brasil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Jesus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Almoinhos's Silvestre Figueiras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Jesus in the 87th minute of play. Idalécio Mansilha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Gonçalo Aleixo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Brasil's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
