But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilídio Soares couldn't finish the play. Antero Magalhães hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that José França's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Queiroga was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Antero Magalhães's late challenge caught a Sporting CP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antero Magalhães helped the player get up and apologised. Antero Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, SC Moura's José França sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Queiroga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 27 minutes, Mariano Peseiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Moura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Peseiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José França blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Queiroga having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Peseiro in the 37th minute of play forced Sporting CP's goalkeeper Wilson Queiroga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SC Moura getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Antero Magalhães hit a great ball. José França charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José França the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. José França kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. If Ilídio Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

José França struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Wilson Queiroga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Moura. Wilson Queiroga didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. If José França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manuel Vital struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Wilson Queiroga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. If José França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilson Queiroga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastião Vilaverde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80th minute, José França got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacob Pires's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Queiroga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. If José França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herberto Guarda might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Queiroga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herberto Guarda ran back to his position shaking his head. José França could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Wilson Queiroga made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, José França took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Wilson Queiroga to make any attempt to save it. José França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Wilson Queiroga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Moura's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
