Aldo Colaço fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Oliveira having to interfere. Heitor Campos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrício Eanes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Fabrício Eanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heitor Campos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Bentos's Fabrício Eanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Campos in the 12th minute of play. Quintino Garcez kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Fabrício Eanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, SC Bentos's Gusmão Póvoas got a free kick in the 17th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, João Velasques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Bentos's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Velasques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When SC Hortinha's Heitor Campos in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Fabrício Eanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Campos in the 30th minute of play. The SC Hortinha fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when SC Hortinha's Gaspar Carneiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Carneiro in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrício Eanes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 44 minutes, Isac Novais mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Bentos and the SC Hortinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC Bentos getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Isac Novais hit a great ball. After the first half SC Hortinha were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaspar Carneiro to make the kick off. Heitor Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heitor Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SC Hortinha's Duarte Paredes got a free kick in the 79th minute. With an all-out effort, SC Hortinha's Fabrício Eanes threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gaspar Carneiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, SC Hortinha's Vicente Moura got a free kick in the 87th minute.
