Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alípio Eanes got the match started through his kick off. Aquilino Coimbra made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Benedito Severiano sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santiago Gama during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, André Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, SC Cortecega's Adérito Vargas got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes, Almargem's Francisco Mesquita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Moisés Lima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Almargem reached it. Alípio Eanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 19 minutes into the match, SC Cortecega's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Matos came free, but Moisés Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Cortecega's Moisés Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Barbosa in the 20th minute of play. Roberto Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Moisés Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquilino Coimbra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alípio Eanes in the 33rd minute of the match. When Alípio Eanes came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the SC Cortecega fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alípio Eanes couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the SC Cortecega defense, Jaime Matos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moisés Lima. The SC Cortecega fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moisés Lima should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Benedito Severiano notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Almargem's Aquilino Coimbra. Aquilino Coimbra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Matos was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Alípio Eanes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jaime Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almargem's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of SC Cortecega booed when Almargem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Semedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alípio Eanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedito Severiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aquilino Coimbra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benedito Severiano ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
