João Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Jorge Martins fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AS Ponténégrine's protests and gave Jorge Martins a yellow card for diving instead. Jorge Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Sporting Kansas City's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Santarém came free, but João Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mário Pacheco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Passos in the 36th minute of the match. Sporting Kansas City's João Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Leiria in the 39th minute of play. AS Ponténégrine's Mário Pacheco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save AS Ponténégrine from getting a goal against them.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domingos Leiria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Domingos Leiria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but João Antunes made a huge save. Mário Pacheco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Passos in the 95th minute of play. Sporting Kansas City were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
