Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Marco Fonseca made the kick off which started today's match. Estrelas de Gaia's Januário Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Fonseca in the 3rd minute of play. Januário Maia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim Cunha in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute Fitoiro were awarded a corner. Raul Viegas went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Cândido Cabral managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Januário Maia came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Fitoiro's Joaquim Cunha. But to his dismay, Joaquim Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Joaquim Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuri Salazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 25 minutes, Amadeu Luz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fitoiro and the Estrelas de Gaia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes Fitoiro got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Luz. Yuri Salazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Correia having to interfere. Cláudio Taveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Correia having to interfere. The supporters of Fitoiro booed when Estrelas de Gaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Gentil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Januário Maia having to interfere. Yuri Salazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cláudio Taveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Cláudio Taveira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hilário Marques hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Raul Viegas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Januário Maia. Estrelas de Gaia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fitoiro's Amadeu Luz got a free kick in the 64th minute. Estevão Machado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Januário Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Estevão Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Cunha in the 76th minute of play forced Estrelas de Gaia's goalkeeper Januário Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cláudio Taveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Correia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cláudio Taveira ran back to his position shaking his head. Yuri Salazar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Rui Correia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Yuri Salazar came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Estrelas de Gaia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuri Salazar couldn't finish the play. If Cláudio Taveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuri Salazar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Rui Correia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 94th match minute, Estrelas de Gaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Leitão to maneuver through the defense.
