The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rui Gonçalves during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 played minutes Alpossos got a freekick which was hit by Rui Gonçalves. In the 10th minute Álvaro Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Maia having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Alexandre Almeida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Heitor Maia. SC Termo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandre Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Alexandre Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Nogueira in the 32nd minute of play forced SC Termo's goalkeeper Heitor Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heitor Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Almeida in the 37th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Nogueira to make the kick off. In the 66th minute, Alexandre Almeida left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alpossos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 69 minutes into the game, SC Termo's Lucas Pires nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henrique Oliveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 71 minutes, Rui Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Termo and the Alpossos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, SC Termo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Lopes to maneuver through the defense. If Lucas Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henrique Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Pires in the 83rd minute of the match. When Álvaro Neto came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the SC Termo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Neto couldn't finish the play. Alpossos's Alexandre Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Alpossos's Alexandre Nogueira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Alpossos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
