Manuel Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Vital in the 6th minute of play. Artur Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jorge Setúbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Frederico Vital got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Manuel Gonçalves quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artur Azevedo got free with Jorge Setúbal in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Setúbal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Pinto's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Virgílio Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Gonçalves having to interfere. Jacinto Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute Jacinto Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Setúbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto Pinto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Bente SAD booed when Banatica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
