Edgar Campelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ervosa FC's zone, Bruno Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Abrantes came out of the goal and Bruno Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gil Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Vidal in the 18th minute of play. Ervosa FC's Joaquim Pedroso got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Nuno Simões came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the SC Oca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Simões couldn't finish the play. In the 28th match minute, Ervosa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Varela to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th match minute Adelino Bessa ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Rui Abrantes. 1-0. Nuno Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the game, SC Oca's Nuno Simões nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rui Abrantes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Gil Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. SC Oca's Gil Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Pedroso in the 42nd minute of play. Rui Abrantes made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Nuno Simões sent off a good shot on target. Ervosa FC's Rui Abrantes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Ervosa FC from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
