Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when José Teixeira kicked off to start the match. Cesário Mansilha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Valente got free with Gervásio Varela in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cesário Lencastre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolau Freire having to interfere. Gervásio Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Valente in the 14th minute. After 17 played minutes SC Lufinha got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Severo. Nicolau Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Severo in the 22nd minute of play. SC Mesieiro's Pedro Valente got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gervásio Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 minutes, Hermínio Carmona mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Mesieiro and the SC Lufinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Hermínio Carmona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Pedro Valente fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Mesieiro's protests and gave Pedro Valente a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Mesieiro's Pedro Valente got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Teixeira in the 39th minute of play forced SC Lufinha's goalkeeper Gervásio Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Lufinha's zone, Pedro Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gervásio Varela came out of the goal and Pedro Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kevin Severo was the one to do the kick off. Gervásio Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Valente went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Cesário Mansilha fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Mesieiro's protests and gave Cesário Mansilha a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Lufinha booed when SC Mesieiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesário Mansilha didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Teixeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gervásio Varela. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Teixeira ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Valente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gervásio Varela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Pedro Valente put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gervásio Varela. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armindo Quintanilha during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 78 minutes into the game, one of SC Lufinha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. SC Lufinha:s Gervásio Varela showed great skill when he stopped Xavier Peralta:s penalty. In the 82nd minute, José Teixeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Mesieiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 93rd minute, Cesário Lencastre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolau Freire was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. SC Lufinha's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because SC Mesieiro had won, even though SC Lufinha had held more of the ball.
