A hard and well directed shot from Danilo Caiado led 9 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Ingada FC's Bento Araújo became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-1. Antero Vilalobos charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antero Vilalobos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Tresminas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ingada FC:s goal. In the 34th minute of the match José Melo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivo Sardinha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vítor Setúbal's late challenge caught a Tresminas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vítor Setúbal helped the player get up and apologised. Vítor Setúbal hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Bento Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílcar Baião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amílcar Baião might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bento Araújo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amílcar Baião ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amílcar Baião stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Tresminas FC defense, Vítor Setúbal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivo Sardinha. The Tresminas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivo Sardinha should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Ingada FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Alexandre Faria hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Juvenal Monteiro sped through Ingada FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bento Araújo. Amílcar Pinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivo Sardinha having to make a save. In the 82nd minute of the match José Melo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivo Sardinha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 89th minute Vítor Setúbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Sardinha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tresminas FC's Ivo Sardinha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílcar Pinho in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tresminas FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
