The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Júlio Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladimiro Camacho was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Parracheira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macheira the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Parracheira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Moura to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes of play Parracheira FC's Armando Moura was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Parracheira FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Armando Moura hit a great ball. Vivaldo Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Vasco Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sérgio Guerreiro fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Parracheira FC's protests and gave Sérgio Guerreiro a yellow card for diving instead. Sérgio Guerreiro hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Vasco Teixeira came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Macheira's Vivaldo Leite. But to his dismay, Vivaldo Leite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 0-2 became the score in the 33rd minute when Filipe Pádua elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jordão Vasques's late challenge caught a Parracheira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jordão Vasques helped the player get up and apologised. Jordão Vasques kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. João Borba in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vladimiro Camacho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With 43 minutes on the clock, Vivaldo Aires commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 42 minutes into the game, one of Macheira:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Parracheira FC. David Setúbal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vladimiro Camacho. 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Borba made a kick off. Vivaldo Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Teixeira having to interfere. Vladimiro Camacho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, João Borba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parracheira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Borba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimiro Camacho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vladimiro Camacho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Nuno Fiúza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio Guerreiro kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Parracheira FC's Vasco Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Parracheira FC from getting a goal against them. 70 minutes into the match, Parracheira FC's goalkeeper Vasco Teixeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vivaldo Leite. The supporters of Macheira booed when Parracheira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Júlio Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parracheira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If André Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Macheira players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
