Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 7 minutes, Palmiro Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Refoios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Palmiro Viegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Palmiro Viegas scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jordão Lage, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Maganha's goalkeeper Jordão Lage had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Palmiro Viegas. The supporters of Maganha booed when SC Refoios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Taborda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octávio Soveral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordão Lage having to interfere. Palmiro Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jordão Lage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Octávio Soveral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Isidoro Eanes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maganha's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Eanes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentim Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the game, Abel Gago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maganha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Refoios the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Maganha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Gago to maneuver through the defense. Octávio Soveral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute Isidoro Eanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentim Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palmiro Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordão Lage having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Eiró made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Palmiro Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Refoios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Palmiro Viegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 66th play minutes Palmiro Viegas shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jordão Lage and just under the crossbar into goal. Jordão Mesquita's late challenge caught a Maganha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jordão Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Refoios getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jordão Mesquita hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Eanes got free with Valentim Montenegro in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Maganha's zone, Palmiro Viegas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jordão Lage came out of the goal and Palmiro Viegas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jordão Mesquita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jordão Lage read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After 88 played minutes Maganha got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Gois. In the 89th minute Palmiro Viegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordão Lage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Vale took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valentim Montenegro. SC Refoios's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There was no doubt that SC Refoios were the better team. SC Refoios's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
