SC Refoios's Palmiro Viegas got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 5 minutes into the match, Fondevila FC's goalkeeper Lucas Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Palmiro Viegas. Jorge Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Jordão Mesquita's late challenge caught a Fondevila FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jordão Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute Vicente Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentim Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, SC Refoios's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Miranda came free, but Valentim Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Viriato Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fondevila FC's protests and gave Viriato Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fondevila FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! In the 20th minute, José Ferro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute Octávio Soveral suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Miguel Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Fondevila FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Refoios:s goal. Mário lacerda shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Eduardo Martins hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Palmiro Viegas in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lucas Simões, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Carlos Taborda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Lucas Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Palmiro Viegas went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Hamilton Assunção struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Lucas Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Refoios.

52 minutes into the match, Palmiro Viegas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucas Simões. Fondevila FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Palmiro Viegas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Lucas Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palmiro Viegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SC Refoios booed when Fondevila FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lourenço Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jorge Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Palmiro Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the SC Refoios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Palmiro Viegas couldn't finish the play. José Ferro hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After 72 minutes Fondevila FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mário lacerda who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Fondevila FC's goalie and right to Palmiro Viegas. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Fondevila FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Carlos Taborda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Simões having to interfere. Lucas Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Campos in the 81st minute of play. In the 86th minute, Palmiro Viegas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jordão Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Lucas Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Refoios fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when SC Refoios's Palmiro Viegas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Palmiro Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lucas Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Campos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the SC Refoios players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
