Laurentino Sequeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Pinto having to interfere. Pedro Pinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Cordeiro's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The supporters of SC Mondego booed when dfsdfsdf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Mondego's zone, Bernardo Falcão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Pinto came out of the goal and Bernardo Falcão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Cordeiro in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Pinto saved SC Mondego from getting behind. After 22 minutes of play, SC Mondego's Francisco Vale made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Neves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paulo Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Pedro Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Pinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurentino Sequeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Falcão in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Pinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Vale got free with Francisco Neves in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Pinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurentino Sequeira in the 32nd minute of the match. dfsdfsdf were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after SC Mondego's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernardo Falcão took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Bernardo Falcão got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Pinto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 34 played minutes SC Mondego got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Lima. Pedro Pinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo Falcão went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Hermes Valadão struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Pedro Pinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for dfsdfsdf. Pedro Pinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Cordeiro in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Paulo Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to SC Mondego getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Xavier Pinho hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, SC Mondego's goal looked a bit too open when Laurentino Sequeira came free, but Pedro Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Laurentino Sequeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Pinto was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After 60 played minutes dfsdfsdf got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Palma. Francisco Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Resende in the 62nd minute of the match. When Hermes Valadão came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the dfsdfsdf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermes Valadão couldn't finish the play.
