Alexandre Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Luz having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Cabra FC's goalkeeper Joaquim Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wlodzimierz Rakowski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Ferreira in the 11th minute of play forced Pombas's goalkeeper Jesse Stutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heitor Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to Pombas getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Bernardo Pinho hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Humberto Cardoso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jesse Stutz skillfully saved the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Cabra FC's Marco Ferreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jesse Stutz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Marco Ferreira took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jesse Stutz. Jesse Stutz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Catarino Cabral's late challenge caught a Cabra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Catarino Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes Pombas got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Cabral. After 37 played minutes, Cabra FC's Amílcar Leão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jesse Stutz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cabra FC reached it. Joaquim Luz made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Wlodzimierz Rakowski sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cabra FC's goalkeeper Joaquim Luz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Pombas's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Viegas came free, but Jesse Stutz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Alexandre Guerreiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Joaquim Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonçalo Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Alexandre Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesse Stutz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gonçalo Neves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 57 minute of play. Cabra FC's Joaquim Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Guerreiro in the 60th minute of play. Alexandre Guerreiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquim Luz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Neves in the 67th minute of play forced Pombas's goalkeeper Jesse Stutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Luz having to interfere. After 76 minutes, Heitor Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pombas and the Cabra FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Wlodzimierz Rakowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Jesse Stutz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gonçalo Neves in the 87thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Vítor Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Vítor Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquim Luz. Cabra FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vítor Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cabra FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
