After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Delfim Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Miuzela's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Luz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júlio Costa during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Miuzela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! In the 14th minute there was a penalty for Valoura. Rogério Fonseca stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Amadeu Queirós. 0-1. Amadeu Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armindo Sousa in the 19th minute of the match. Xavier Lisboas short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Sebastião Luz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Valoura's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Amadeu Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 32 minutes, João Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. If João Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Lisboas short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Sebastião Luz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Xavier Lisboa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Sebastião Luz made a huge save. The SC Miuzela players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valoura were winning 0-1.

The audience thought a goal was coming when João Antunes got free with Amadeu Queirós in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastião Luz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delfim Lima's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. The audience was convinced that Delfim Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastião Luz was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. After having played for 58 minutes, Xavier Lisboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Miuzela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Lisboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, João Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delfim Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Antunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeu Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Antunes ran back to his position shaking his head. Delfim Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastião Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavier Lisboa in the 94th minute of the match. Xavier Lisboa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastião Luz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The SC Miuzela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Valoura were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
