Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Barrosinha's Xavier Valente started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manuel Trindade was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Barrosinha fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Lakatus United a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kevin Vital, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Barrosinha's Afonso Pires. 0-1. In the 10th match minute, Lakatus United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armindo Lustosa to maneuver through the defense. Oliveira Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but António Bessa made a huge save. Afonso Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Paixão, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th match minute, SC Barrosinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Correia to maneuver through the defense. Lakatus United's António Bessa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Lakatus United from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute, Mauro Paixão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute of the match Vicente Horta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Pires showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Paixão in the 28th minute of play forced SC Barrosinha's goalkeeper Afonso Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Paixão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar Estrela in the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Oliveira Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Barrosinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliveira Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdemar Estrela stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Estrela in the 59th minute of play forced SC Barrosinha's goalkeeper Afonso Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdemar Estrela was extremely unlucky when he, in the 61st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Valdemar Estrela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Afonso Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Lakatus United's Valdemar Estrela slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Afonso Pires. That made the score 0-3 after 66 minutes of play. Valdemar Estrela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Pires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Valdemar Estrela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lakatus United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdemar Estrela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, Oliveira Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonso Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Estrela in the 80th minute of play. SC Barrosinha's Oliveira Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. António Bessa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliveira Coelho in the 85th minute of the match. When SC Barrosinha's Oliveira Coelho in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lakatus United's goalie prevented a goal. Oliveira Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Paixão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Afonso Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Barrosinha supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lakatus United's performance. The match ended with a win for Lakatus United.
