Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cândido Resende kicked off to start the match. Fernando Martins's late challenge caught a Acorda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Martins helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Fernando Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Esteves in the 8th minute of play forced Acorda's goalkeeper Mariano Coimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torre FC's Paulo Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute Cândido Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Jacinto Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adelino Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Esteves in the 21st minute of play forced Acorda's goalkeeper Mariano Coimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Torre FC were awarded a corner. José Fernandes went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that José Fernandes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mariano Coimbra quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Torre FC's Fernando Martins got his second yellow card of the match in the 24th minute. The referee ordered Fernando Martins off the ground. The supporters of Acorda booed when Torre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cândido Resende came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Acorda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cândido Resende couldn't finish the play. Cândido Resende struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Nuno Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acorda. With a little luck, Torre FC's Nuno Lopes got control of the ball when Humberto Araújo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulo Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Coimbra having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Esteves was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Acorda got a freekick which was hit by José Aguiar. Mariano Coimbra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Coimbra in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, Acorda's Carlos Moutinho got a free kick in the 62nd minute. With his leg Mariano Coimbra managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Torre FC's Paulo Esteves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Joel Teixeira hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Nuno Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cândido Resende in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Acorda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Sá to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cândido Resende in the 88th minute of play forced Torre FC's goalkeeper Nuno Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Humberto Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Torre FC's goalkeeper Nuno Lopes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
