Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Calharis's André Rodrigues started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adélio Moura hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. When Adélio Moura came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the SPE Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adélio Moura couldn't finish the play. Luís Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasco Esteves in the 11th minute of the match. 19 minutes in the game, Vasco Esteves fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Luís Pedroso having to interfere. The supporters of SPE Team booed when Calharis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasco Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 32nd minute Manuel Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Paião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Neto in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geraldo Paião saved SPE Team from getting behind. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind SPE Team's goalkeeper Geraldo Paião, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geraldo Paião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Alfredo Leal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Luís Pedroso made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vasco Esteves to make the kick off. André Rodrigues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geraldo Paião having to make a save. In the 53rd minute, Calharis's André Rodrigues ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Geraldo Paião. Geraldo Paião yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Adelino Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Luís Pedroso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vasco Esteves's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. André Rodrigues was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The goalkeeper, Geraldo Paião, was totally fooled by Calharis's Rafael Porto, who 73 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Leal in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Pedroso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Calharis's zone, Vasco Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Pedroso came out of the goal and Vasco Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Manuel Neto came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Calharis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Neto couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, SPE Team's goalkeeper Geraldo Paião had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Neto. If Manuel Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Geraldo Paião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, André Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calharis's supporters rose to their feet, but André Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geraldo Paião breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Calharis walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
