Beato FC's Severino Fantini got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Timóteo Sousa in the 54th minute of play forced Beato FC's goalkeeper Alf Tingelholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Guerreiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alf Tingelholm. Beato FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Severino Fantini made a precise shot to the right of Palmiro Pinto.
