After 22 played minutes, SC Longra's Olavo Oliveira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Filinto Toscano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Longra reached it. André Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filinto Toscano having to interfere. Filinto Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Passos in the 27th minute of play. Martinho Veloso's late challenge caught a Cavaleiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martinho Veloso helped the player get up and apologised. After 33 played minutes SC Longra got a freekick which was hit by Martinho Veloso. Vítor Fidalgo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Paulo Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavaleiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseu Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The supporters of SC Longra booed when Cavaleiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. When André Passos came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the SC Longra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Passos couldn't finish the play. André Passoss short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Filinto Toscano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Filinto Toscano made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when André Passos sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SC Longra's zone, Vítor Fidalgo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Medeiros came out of the goal and Vítor Fidalgo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Longra's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
