Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Éder Novais took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hortas's Julião Belém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Queirós in the 3rd minute of play. After 5 minutes of play, Hortas's Éder Novais made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Moniz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 8th minute, Fernando Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cláudio Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Julião Belém made a huge save. In the 16th minute Éder Novais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Moniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Julião Belém managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when SC Gilmonde's Cláudio Fontes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fernando Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Julião Belém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 minutes, Éder Novais made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. SC Gilmonde's Daniel Moniz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Éder Novais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Moniz having to interfere. When Cristóvão Borges fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Gilmonde's protests and gave Cristóvão Borges a yellow card for diving instead. Cristóvão Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Daniel Moniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Valadão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Éder Novais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Éder Novais ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Moniz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Maurício Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. SC Gilmonde's Pedro Simões couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 45th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hortas. In the 47th minute, Caetano Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cláudio Fontes got free with Julião Belém in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The supporters of Hortas booed when SC Gilmonde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Gilmonde's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Rui Valadão scored to the left of an out of position Daniel Moniz, making the score, 0-4. Daniel Moniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Valadão, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Cláudio Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Gilmonde's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julião Belém breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the match, SC Gilmonde's goalkeeper Daniel Moniz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Valadão. Daniel Moniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Éder Novais, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 74th match minute, Hortas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício Aleixo to maneuver through the defense. When Rui Valadão came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Hortas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Valadão couldn't finish the play. Éder Novais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute, António Anjos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Valadão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Daniel Moniz made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Éder Novais managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hortas's supporters rose to their feet, but Éder Novais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Moniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, SC Gilmonde's goal looked a bit too open when Éder Novais came free, but Daniel Moniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hortas's Maurício Aleixo got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Hortas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
