When Alfredo Esteves got free in front of the goal in the 14th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Dário Falcão was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Daniel Moniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After having played for 26 minutes, Alfredo Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gilmonde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, SC Gilmonde's goal looked a bit too open when Albertino Moreira came free, but Daniel Moniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cláudio Fontes hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Cláudio Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Falcão having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, KappaFenix Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Fontes came free, but Dário Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SC Gilmonde booed when KappaFenix Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Lage didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Esteves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Alfredo Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertino Moreira in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Moniz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. SC Gilmonde's André Valente pulled a muscle in his back after 60 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Silvestre Jesus's late challenge caught a SC Gilmonde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvestre Jesus helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to KappaFenix Football Club getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Silvestre Jesus hit a great ball. Albertino Moreira in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Moniz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cláudio Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Falcão having to interfere. Fernando Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cláudio Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 72nd minute of the match Adriano Lage completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Adriano Lage a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Adriano Lage kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Cláudio Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Gilmonde's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário Falcão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 78 minutes into the match, Albertino Moreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Moniz. SC Gilmonde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albertino Moreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Albertino Moreira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Silvestre Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albertino Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Moniz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Cláudio Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. KappaFenix Football Club's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
