Reginaldo Lencastre started the match with the kick off. José Luz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Higino Delgado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. SC Pouve's Palmiro Saldanha saw an opening behind the goalie Higino Delgado in the 7thth minute and tried to shoot past into the top right corner, but with great reflexes Higino Delgado with one arm managed to save the shot in the last secound. The supporters of SC Pouve booed when SC Guirela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Avelar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leal Fiúza kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, SC Pouve's Norberto Alcântara broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Palmiro Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Higino Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Palmiro Saldanha in the 13th minute of the match. SC Pouve's Matias Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Lencastre in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Pouve's zone, Reginaldo Lencastre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Neto came out of the goal and Reginaldo Lencastre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Baldaia kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. A hard shot 43 in the game by Claudemiro Peseiro from a close distance when the talented Higino Delgado managed to make a qualified save. SC Guirela's players were relieved. SC Guirela's Higino Delgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save SC Guirela from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reginaldo Lencastre in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matias Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Germano Novais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Matias Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higino Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palmiro Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the game, Severiano Avelar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Guirela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Pouve the free kick. A collision led to SC Guirela getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Severiano Avelar hit a great ball. 79 minutes in the game, José Luz dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leal Fiúza during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Guirela getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Leal Fiúza hit a great ball. Leal Fiúza kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Germano Novais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palmiro Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higino Delgado having to interfere. Germano Novais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Guirela's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
