In the 35th minute, Guidoes's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Berenguer Caballeiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 40th minute, André Santarém left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guidoes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 45th minute of the match Rui Rodrigues sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gonçalo Leiria skillfully saved the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Montez Joseph was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guidoes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Berenguer Caballeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C. Grassohper's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on F.C. Grassohper's corner Berenguer Caballeiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gonçalo Leiria quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Montez Joseph in the 61st minute of play forced Guidoes's goalkeeper Gonçalo Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 played minutes F.C. Grassohper got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Delgado. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Francisco Almeida put in a rough tackle. After 71 played minutes F.C.
