In the 18th match minute, Lameiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Ferrão to maneuver through the defense. Octávio Miranda's late challenge caught a Janelas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octávio Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Janelas FC's Bruno Dantas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jerónimo Nascimento. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 3-1 became the score in the 46th minute when João Tristão elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruno Dantas was the one to do the kick off. Jerónimo Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Dantas in the 52nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Leite during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Janelas FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Manuel Leite hit a great ball. The supporters of Lameiros booed when Janelas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Lameiros got a corner. Janelas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Mesquita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Janelas FC's goalie and right to Jorge Ferrão. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Janelas FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. António Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Tristão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Janelas FC's António Cabral got control of the ball when Raul Vilhena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Catarino Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
