After 15 minutes of play, SC Aloabideche's Amílcar Coelho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquim Coimbra was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Ionescu got free with Jaime Machado in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joaquim Coimbra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Jaime Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emil Ionescu's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Emil Ionescu sped through SC Aloabideche's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jaime Machado. Joaquim Vieira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Emil Ionescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernando Lima took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaime Machado. Jaime Machado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 78th minute, Delfim Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Aloabideche's Jaime Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Ionescu in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute Emil Ionescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sr Team's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
