The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Santimar FC's Tiago Dantas in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Cha's goalie prevented a goal. Tiago Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tiago Dantas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Amadeu Mendes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sérgio Rodrigues made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Santimar FC's Duarte Amorim. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Cha's goalkeeper Amadeu Mendes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Cha's Amadeu Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Dantas in the 21st minute of play. Gustavo Freitas's late challenge caught a Santimar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. Gustavo Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24thth minute of the game Tiago Dantas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Cha's Amadeu Mendes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorge Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th match minute, Santimar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. Amadeu Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Dantas's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Cha's zone, Jorge Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Mendes came out of the goal and Jorge Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Tiago Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santimar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute Jorge Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto Jesus's late challenge caught a SC Cha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacinto Jesus helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Cha booed when Santimar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Tiago Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiago Dantas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amadeu Mendes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Amaral was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Tiago Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Tiago Dantas sped through SC Cha's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amadeu Mendes. If Bernardo Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Santimar FC booed when SC Cha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Tiago Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience was convinced that Tiago Dantas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Mendes was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardo Freitas got free with Mihailo Korov in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santimar FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Miguel Rocha in the 76th minute. A nice corner shot did that Miguel Rocha got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Amadeu Mendes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Santimar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute Tiago Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Mihailo Korov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tiago Dantas, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 92 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Amadeu Mendes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 93 minutes, Miguel Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santimar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Jorge Nogueira notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of SC Cha's Amadeu Mendes. Amadeu Mendes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
