A collision led to Veade getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Filipe Cabral hit a great ball. If Claudemiro Perdigão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 6 minutes into the match, SC Foros's Júlio Taborda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diogo Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Claudemiro Perdigão struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Diogo Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Foros. In the 21st minute, Jaime Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Claudemiro Perdigão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Júlio Taborda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Foros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some careless play in the Veade defense, Claudemiro Perdigão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diogo Queirós. The Veade fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diogo Queirós should have stopped the shot. If Claudemiro Perdigão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Veade's Diogo Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Taborda in the 38th minute of play. When Albertino Matias fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Veade's protests and gave Albertino Matias a yellow card for diving instead. Albertino Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Diogo Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Taborda went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Taborda to make the kick off. Francisco Esteves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xavier Severo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Veade getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jaime Viana hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Claudemiro Perdigão got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Cândido Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Veade's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Taborda came free, but Diogo Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Cândido Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cândido Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diogo Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Taborda in the 85th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudemiro Perdigão got free with Diogo Queirós in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claudemiro Perdigão's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Diogo Queirós firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Veade supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Foros's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Foros.
