Gales FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Mascanho the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gales FC's Olívio Guterres got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 10 minutes, Aloísio Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gales FC and the SC Mascanho players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gales FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emanuel Fernandes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fábio Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Dimas Ferrão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Mascanho. Fábio Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Dimas Ferrão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, SC Mascanho's goal looked a bit too open when Hipólito Fiúza came free, but Manuel Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Baptista made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Lucílio Festas sent off a good shot on target. Fábio Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dimas Ferrão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, SC Mascanho's Fábio Teixeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimas Ferrão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Lucílio Festas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucílio Festass short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Manuel Baptista to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 37th minute Hipólito Fiúza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute Fábio Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimas Ferrão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimas Ferrão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Teixeira in the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Fábio Teixeira made the kick off in the second half. Lucílio Festas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Manuel Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nuno Moutinho fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Mascanho's protests and gave Nuno Moutinho a yellow card for diving instead. Nuno Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Lucílio Festas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gales FC's zone, Fábio Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimas Ferrão came out of the goal and Fábio Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucílio Festas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Manuel Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucílio Festas in the 67th minute of play forced SC Mascanho's goalkeeper Manuel Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Cardoso during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Mascanho getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Luís Cardoso hit a great ball. When Aloísio Alves was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. Fábio Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Gales FC's Dimas Ferrão got control of the ball when Fábio Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Fábio Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fábio Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Dimas Ferrão made a huge save. Fábio Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fábio Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gales FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though SC Mascanho had controlled the match.
