A collision led to FCTrindade getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Aldo Eiró hit a great ball. Fernando Cabral hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Filipe Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Viegas having to interfere. Miguel Viegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 43 minutes, Afonso Moniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Silves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Moniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filipe Vieira made a kick off. Filipe Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Miguel Viegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romão Sacramento kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Miguel Viegas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Moniz in the 54th minute. Carlos Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Ramires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Silves defense, Simão Lessa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Esteves. The Silves fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Esteves should have stopped the shot. FCTrindade's Miguel Viegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Vieira in the 61st minute of play. Ramiro Lameiras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Esteves having to interfere. 66 minutes into the game, Fernando Cabral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Silves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FCTrindade the free kick. Carlos Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Lessa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Viegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Vieira in the 68th minute of the match. If Simão Lessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simão Lessa's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Vieira in the 79th minute of play forced FCTrindade's goalkeeper Miguel Viegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th match minute, FCTrindade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, FCTrindade's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Vieira came free, but Miguel Viegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josué Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The supporters of Silves booed when FCTrindade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romão Sacramento didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Moniz got free with Miguel Viegas in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, FCTrindade's Bernardo Montenegro got a free kick in the 87th minute. Fernando Cabral was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FCTrindade had played much better football throughout.
