SC Alfragide's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Gaviao the free kick. In the 12th minute, Amadeu Roriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Alcides Fiúza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, Wilson Brandão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julião Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Carlos Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inácio Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Peixoto having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Inácio Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Peixoto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Inácio Neves came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the SC Gaviao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Neves couldn't finish the play. José Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Wilson Brandão came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the SC Alfragide fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson Brandão couldn't finish the play. In the 48th minute, Wilson Brandão fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After the first half SC Gaviao were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rui Leal to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Brandão in the 57th minute of play forced SC Gaviao's goalkeeper Carlos Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Brandão might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Henriques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilson Brandão ran back to his position shaking his head. In the last second José Peixoto throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rui Leal in the 65thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After a rather tough play, SC Gaviao's David Barros got a free kick in the 67th minute. Hélio Perdigão kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Mário Ribeiro, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Inácio Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Peixoto having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, SC Alfragide's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Leal came free, but José Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Julião Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th match minute, SC Alfragide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alcides Fiúza to maneuver through the defense. Rui Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. José Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inácio Neves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, José Peixoto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Wilson Brandão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julião Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
