Adolfo Santarém showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Coutinho in the 21st minute of the match. In the 29th minute Miguel Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Ferro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Vilaça's late challenge caught a Ficalho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Vilaça helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Régua's Adolfo Vilaça got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 35th minute Telmo Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Santarém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geraldo lago kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Telmo Coutinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Telmo Coutinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ficalho FC's Adolfo Santarém was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vítor Barros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of António Ferro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. António Ferro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vítor Barros in the 63rd minute. Régua's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Vítor Barros scored to the left of an out of position António Ferro, making the score, 0-2. Adolfo Santarém took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Régua's António Ferro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Nunes in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match, Vítor Barros got a very nice opportunity to score, but António Ferro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 76 minutes, Nuno Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ficalho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Nunes struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. António Ferro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ficalho FC. After a defensive mix-up in Régua's zone, Vítor Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Ferro came out of the goal and Vítor Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ficalho FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
