After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Nuno Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talasnal's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the match, SC Alfocheira's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Lima came free, but Afonso Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Talasnal's Nuno Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Adalberto Fagundes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th match minute, SC Alfocheira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Fontes to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Moreira having to interfere. In the 26th minute Lázaro Santiago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastião Assis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vítor Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Afonso Moreira having to make a save. Afonso Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Lima in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Adalberto Fagundes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Alfocheira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Abreu got free with Afonso Moreira in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lázaro Santiago charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lázaro Santiago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, SC Alfocheira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Santiago to maneuver through the defense. When Rogério Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Alfocheira's protests and gave Rogério Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. 45 minutes into the game, one of SC Alfocheira:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. João Moura shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adalberto Fagundes to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Wilson Fiúza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Alfocheira and the Talasnal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd minute, one of SC Alfocheira:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Alfocheira. After a defensive mix-up in Talasnal's zone, Manuel Quintas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Assis came out of the goal and Manuel Quintas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Talasnal's Bernardo Amaral got a free kick in the 64th minute. Adalberto Fagundes spun around in front of the goal 65 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Talasnal's goal. Manuel Quintas struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Sebastião Assis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Alfocheira. Sebastião Assis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Quintas in the 76th minute. In the 80th minute, Nuno Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso Moreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 3-1 became the score in the 86th minute when Vítor Lima elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bruno Anjos kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Talasnal's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Fagundes came free, but Sebastião Assis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Talasnal's Sebastião Assis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Fontes in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Alfocheira players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Talasnal.
