Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Duarte Neves started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, SC Igarei's Máximo Barcelos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Moura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Manuel Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Armindo Ponte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Igarei's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patacao the free kick. In the 10th match minute, SC Igarei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armindo Ponte to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Patacao booed when SC Igarei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armindo Ponte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 played minutes SC Igarei got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Ponte. SC Igarei's António Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Neves in the 21st minute of play. Duarte Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. António Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Máximo Barcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armindo Ponte to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Duarte Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duarte Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Duarte Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patacao's supporters rose to their feet, but Duarte Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 85 minutes of play, Patacao's Alexandre Teixeira made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. António Alves was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 88 played minutes SC Igarei got a freekick which was hit by Máximo Barcelos. António Morais, 89 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Igarei's goalkeeper António Alves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Patacao had won after a very even match.
