Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Olisipo FC's Eusébio Moniz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Delfim Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the match, André Pacheco notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Jungeiros's Jacinto Monteiro. Jacinto Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 9 played minutes SC Jungeiros got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Barros. Eusébio Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A long shot from Américo Martins in the 17th minute of play was well struck, but Carlos Azevedo made a really good save at the right post. André Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Monteiro having to interfere. SC Jungeiros's Jacinto Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Pacheco in the 22nd minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Fernando Mendes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olisipo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Jungeiros the free kick. In the 27th match minute, Olisipo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Mendes to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Américo Martins sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Olisipo FC's Carlos Azevedo didn't even have to move. José Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Delfim Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Olisipo FC's zone, Afonso Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Azevedo came out of the goal and Afonso Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delfim Borges made a kick off. After 53 played minutes SC Jungeiros got a freekick which was hit by Viriato Borges. Afonso Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Carlos Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Olisipo FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. José Moutinho hit a great ball. If Afonso Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Carlos Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Olisipo FC's Amílcar Macedo got a free kick in the 67th minute. Américo Martins missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 69 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Carlos Azevedo right hand side. A collision led to Olisipo FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Fernando Mendes hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute SC Jungeiros were awarded a corner. Américo Martins went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on SC Jungeiros's corner Afonso Carvalho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carlos Azevedo quite easily take care of the ball. When Eusébio Moniz came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Olisipo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Moniz couldn't finish the play. Jacinto Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Moniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88 played minutes Olisipo FC's André Pacheco stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Jacinto Monteiro stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing SC Jungeiros of the goal.
